 OUR FLEET

In the Fall of 2004 this bow-coxed four - the Edna M Shery - was donated to the club upon the successful completion of a challenge fundraising program. The funds were used to purchase more shells.

During the Winter of 2004 we completed the purchase of another boat. This time a factory reconditioned, carbon fiber, M2 from Vespoli. It is black with Orange trim and was named "The spirit of John Maileue", honoring a member who was very active in the organization until the very end.

In 2005 we purchased an eight from a local college, the "John M. King"

In 2006, we purchased a 45HP safety launch.

In 2007 we purchased a brand new white WinTec quad, now known as The Degenstein I, and our coach, Stephen Loaiza, donated his black quad/four:

Our outgoing president, Julie Irwin, donated a training single and Roger Long, a local car dealer, donated another training single.

In April, 2009, the club purchased a re-conditioned Empacher double, Take II.

Current boat count owned by the club:

Eights - 2 (white is medium- and black is heavy-weight)
Fours - 1 (and a half - we have sweep riggers for the black quad)
Quads - 2 (White is light- and black is medium- weight)
Doubles - 1 (We also borrow Coach Loaiza’s sometimes.)
Singles - 2 (trainers)

Plus... lots of the members have bought their own singles. Here is a shot of our singles racks now (June ’08)!

Our racks were designed and built by one of the members and adjust in width to even fit doubles. They consist of one sheet of plywood, three pieces of 2x lumber, screws, bolts/nuts, and 10 hours of labor. Here is a drawing. Contact us if you are interested in plans.
